RM Sotheby’s annual Monterey sale stands at the center of the collector car market, setting the tone for Monterey Car Week and beyond. Over nearly three decades, the auction has presented the world’s most significant automobiles and achieved record-setting results, establishing its position as the definitive venue for blue-chip consignments.

RM Sotheby’s Monterey auction totaled over $165 million in 2025, achieving an 87% sell-through rate and drawing international bidders from 46 countries. The $26-million Ferrari Daytona SP3 set a new benchmark as the most valuable new car ever sold, while a diverse offering from Ferraris and pre-war Duesenbergs to RUF and Porsche established 14 world records.
