Originally designed by the iconic 1970s architects Buff, Smith & Hensman, 21900 Briarbluff has undergone a meticulous and extensive renovation by renowned architect David Montalba Architects, Santa Monica to transform the existing house from a vertical to a more horizontal structure. The restoration and addition defined the terraced site with wood-clad walls that situate the house as a series of outdoor rooms with an indigenous landscape and features a blend of unique stone and Brazilian walnut floor, floor-to-ceiling windows to capture the canyon and ocean views, built-in walnut millwork, a stone- clad interior water feature and a custom aquarium room divider.
