At the southern tip of the Baja Peninsula, Los Cabos is where the desert meets the sea, and Diamante sits just six miles from downtown Cabo San Lucas. The region pairs two distinct towns: Cabo San Lucas is lively, social, and centered on the marina, while San José del Cabo is charming, artistic, and slower-paced. Visitors can charter a vessel to pursue some of Mexico’s finest sportfishing on the Sea of Cortez, or embark on a private cruise past El Arco and Land’s End for swimming, snorkeling, and marine life encounters. From December through April, humpbacks and gray whales migrate close to shore, making Los Cabos one of the best places in the world for whale watching. In San José del Cabo’s historic center, galleries line charming streets, and Thursday evenings come alive with the Art Walk.
