Conceived by Uruguayan architect Horatio Ravazzani, this showpiece estate is a living work of art. The estate’s 17-inch-thick concrete walls poured through wood forms to infuse the knotty, organic properties of the wood are apt metaphors for the thoroughly modern-yet-rustic tone throughout. Concrete plays off warm Iroko wood, slate juxtaposes bold Moroccan tile, and bronze dining room paneling—by French furniture artist, André Dubreuil—offers a visual feast of textures. Step outdoors and the estate is perfectly situated around soaring aspen trees and evergreens, and flowing streams and waterfalls. A glass conservatory bisecting the guest and family wings and oversized, vertical windows enable the estate’s natural setting to be part of the interior atmosphere. A natural addition to its surroundings, this estate utilizes the highest quality materials for a high-altitude climate.
