Dear Clients and Partners:
The heart of our mission at Concierge Auctions is to Make History. We started this business because the traditional way of buying and selling real estate is broken, and in only eleven years, we’ve become a dominant force in the industry. It’s been no easy feat, as dollars and emotions run high and timelines are short, yet we’ve maintained a steady focus on client satisfaction, transparency and innovation.
We are proud to have thousands of clients and brokers worldwide who have partnered with us towards success and are complimentary of our services. We’ve set hundreds of sales records, our achievements have earned our position as the preferred auction provider to the most reputable luxury real estate networks, and we maintain A+ approval ratings from our clients and employees (sources: Zillow and Glassdoor). Yet, we do not rest on these laurels. We strive to do our best on every assignment, and we always welcome feedback.
The Wall Street Journal recently published this article, which we hope you’ll read. We appreciate the opportunity to shed additional light and deepen our lines of communication.
It’s no secret that we’re passionate about challenging the status quo. We love to break records and push boundaries. At the same time, we’re grounded in our relationships and commitments, and we expect the same of others. Every buyer and seller who participates in our auctions is required to honor their contract obligations, and it is our policy to take legal action if a party fails to perform. Without this accountability, the integrity of the auction transaction is not confirmed and performing stakeholders are not properly supported. From time to time, such actions have caused the party at fault to retaliate with false allegations in attempt to push blame for their nonperformance.
An important fact is that there has not been one court case that has ever gone forward against Concierge successfully. In fact, none of these cases have made it past the filing of the initial complaint, and all that have closed have either been dismissed outright or resulted in settlements with payments to Concierge. Further, the 10 litigations represent less than 1% of the clients with whom we have transacted.
While time is our clients’ most valued possession, the price transparency we bring to expensive properties and the speed at which we do so can be jarring. As such, we are continually strengthening our education and processes to eliminate misunderstandings. Since 2018 we have required sellers to authorize the commencement of their auctions in writing after reviewing the list of registered bidders and opening bids. This is just one innovation we believe should be industry standard, to ensure every seller is prepared for a range of potential outcomes.
We stand for performance. For doing good by our clients and partners. For growing our people. And, for bettering the world through our Key for Key® giving program. We are privileged to have your support and look forward to continuing to make history together in the days and years ahead.
Sincerely,
Laura Brady, Presidentlaura.brady@conciergeauctions.com
