Concierge Auctions continues to showcase the effectiveness of its platform in the upscale California real estate market, with recent successful auctions in Bel Air, Los Angeles, Hollywood Riviera, and Beverly Hills, the latter breaking the world record for highest price ever achieved at auction. Thus far in 2021, 12 auctions have transpired in the state of California, with two currently live in La Jolla and another show-stopper in Beverly Hills.
“I was blown away by the Concierge Team,” said Bel Air listing agent, Kurt Rappaport. “Their world-class marketing, extensive global reach, and 30-day platform are an ideal match for high-net-worth clients, which is why I’m excited to be partnering again with Concierge Auctions for the sale of Evan Metropoulos’ Sierra Towers penthouse, an incredible trophy property in Beverly Hills going to auction this June.”
Chad Roffers, Chairman of Concierge Auctions, added, “The extraordinary penthouse at Sierra Towers exemplifies the type of exclusive, one-of-a-kind properties that are perfectly suited to the luxury auctions that have become our hallmark. I cannot think of a better sequel to our recent sale of 67 Beverly Park in Beverly Hills which set a world record.”
The recent release of Concierge Auctions’ fifth-annual “U.S. Luxury Homes Index”—an analysis of the 10 highest property sales in 56 high-end markets around the U.S.—found the top 10 luxury homes in the Beverly Hills and Bel Air/Holmby Hills marketplaces lingered on the market for an average of 415 and 508 days, respectively. The majority of the properties took longer than 180 days to sell—444 days (Beverly Hills) and 608 days (Bel Air/Holmby Hills)—and achieved an average of 66.26% (Beverly Hills) and 67.44% (Bel Air/Holmby Hills) of the original list price, respectively.
Our recent California auctions include 67 Beverly Park in Beverly Hills, an authentic Italian village encompassing more than nine pristine acres across three lots in one of the most prestigious communities in the world. Previously offered for $160 million, the property sold after an active auction on February 2nd, and marks the highest price ever achieved at auction for a single-family home.
“To the most affluent sellers, time is the ultimate resource,” stated Chad Roffers, chairman. “If a luxury property hasn’t sold within 90 days, it will likely stay on the market for the following 3–5 years, selling for a fraction of the price. In only 53 days we secured a strong field of bidders—which ultimately resulted in breaking our own previous world record—and brought reach, speed, and certainty to our client. Not every seller has the risk tolerance to let the market speak, and it paid off in folds for our client.”
The global exposure generated in 53 days by Concierge Auctions in cooperation with listing agents Jeff Hyland and Rick Hilton of leading LA-brokerage Hilton & Hyland resulted in over 33,000+ website/page views from 170 countries—led by the United States, Canada, Netherlands, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Spain, Belgium, Austria, and Germany—1,800+ prospects, 31 showings, and bidders from the United States and China.
And just weeks ago we also sold Stella Nova, 30± buildable acres in the heart of Bel Air, set in the foothills of the Santa Monica mountains. Listed for $29.9 million, the property sold on the Concierge Auctions digital bidding platform auction on May 11th.
“Stella Nova is a gem unlike any other, and I’m grateful to have found a new buyer for my property. Concierge Auctions delivered on everything they said they would, and their platform and process could not have been more transparent and most importantly effective,” stated seller, Eri Kroh.
Coming up next, the prestigious Sierra Towers mansion in the sky, set just off of West Hollywood's Sunset Strip, will auction with No Reserve, in cooperation with top agents Aaron Kirman of Compass and Kurt Rappaport of Westside Estate Agency. The highly sought-after Beverly Hills 32nd-floor penthouse, a mid-century masterpiece coveted by celebrities and renowned for unobstructed views of the entire Los Angeles Basin, is owned by billionaire Evan Metropoulos, a principal of the renowned family-owned investment firm Metropoulos & Co.
