Wow! It has been a whopping four weeks since I last posted the Concierge Review. So here goes…
At the end of September we launched the auction of a historic Inner Harbor Martha’s Vineyard luxury home, and you can bid on that property starting tomorrow. At the end of September we also launched two Fairfield County estates in New Canaan, Connecticut. Bid now through October 25th on Wexford Hall, a circa 1920s icon of New Canaan luxury real estate.
Then October came, and so did two more luxury home auctions. First, a Dana Point, California Orange County luxury property was set for live auction on November 11. We also launched a Jacksonville luxury home, which came out of the gates strong. We’re excited to be back in the Florida market!
And some great October press: our Jacksonville riverfront estate was written up twice (in the Jacksonville Business Journal and at the Luxury Project); the New Canaan luxury homes were in the New York Times and New Canaan Advertiser, and Wexford Hall was picked as a Top Ten Real Estate Deal; the Edgartown harbor home on Martha’s Vineyard was in The Atlantic (A Six-Bedroom Estate in a Whaling Village on Martha’s Vineyard) and on Curbed (Auction Will Decide Fate of this Edgartown Inner Harbor Estate); the Dana Point luxury beach house was featured on a real estate and business news website; and Le Grand Reve on Chicago’s north shore, an unbelievable estate previously listed for $32M, was highlighted several times, including here by Modern Luxury.
In other news, we are happy our CTO Mike Russo has a new office, as he and his technology team were featured in the Sippican Weekly.
I am always scouring the latest trends on luxury real estate and luxury home auctions. This article from Dennis Rodkin at Chicago Mag reminded me of the post our CEO George Graham published a couple weeks back: Why sell a luxury property at auction? In it, Rodkin sets forth the “new rules of real estate.” He says, “don’t play the lets wait and see game” and “the right price sells fast.” So true in today’s market! When sellers are committed to accepting a realistic price, buyers are taking notice.
