Writing more, and better.
How were you first introduced to Concierge Auctions?
By a particularly persistent project sales manager for Concierge who was handling an auction on Kauai in 2009. I was tough to convince, maybe to the point of belligerence. But they brought me around, and since then I think we’ve done more auctions with Concierge than any other brokerage.
When do you think is the right time to introduce Concierge Auctions to your clients?
It all depends on the client, the market dynamics in their particular market, and their timing needs. There’s no one-size fits all answer to that question, but in general, the sooner our listing clients understand that we’re well-versed in the auction process, the better.
What is your greatest success story with Concierge Auctions?
A few years ago we sold a house that belonged to a dear friend and client of mine who had recently passed away. It was an incredible home at the top-end of a relatively seasonal market. It was listed at $13M. We sold it for $11M at auction, which was impressive by every measure.
