DescriptionJust minutes away from quaint Gloucester, Virginia, Wareham Estate, is an impeccably designed property with roots in 18th century American architecture made famous by U.S President and Virginia governor Thomas Jefferson. Renowned area architect Floyd E. Johnson designed many notable Virginia classical buildings and for 30 years was the restoration architect at Monticello. He left no stone unturned in his effort to replicate this style at Wareham, a breathtaking, 60-acre waterfront estate two years in the making.
Built in collaboration with the most notable landscape architects and interior designers of the UK, and fine millworkers from Charlottesville, Virginia, friends and guests alike will be delighted to accept any invitation to spend time at Wareham Estate.
A serene setting created by using a distinguished color palette determined by historic reference, the soothing master suite is a charming and restful spot to end the day and begin anew. Offering gorgeous views of the pier and boardwalk beyond, it’s easy to remember why Wareham is such a special place.
Wareham sits at the perfect distance from the shoreline on 60 acres of gently rolling and well-elevated waterfront property. Offering wide, unencumbered waterfront views looking out to the Mobjack Bay, it’s the perfect setting to take advantage of all the Chesapeake Bay lifestyle has to offer.
"Quaint towns like Mathews and Gloucester dot the landscape along with larger, beach towns like Newport News and Virginia Beach, offering unmatched waterfront living, boutique shopping and fine dining, museums and historic attractions and, of course, plentiful outdoor recreation. "
