Adaptability in an everchanging real estate market is the key to success. From bull and bearish markets to new and fresh marketing innovations, having an agent who can guide their clients with unwavering confidence and knowledge is something Tim Grimes is known for. Tim is a rare agent who specializes in both residential and rural properties. Whether it is a 14-million-dollar ranch to a restored craftsman bungalow in Montrose, Tim oversees every transaction with the same stellar marketing, tenacity, and dedication.
Tim believes that one of the best marketing tools is word of mouth. Therefore, he is very active within his community of Tanglewood and has cultivated strong relationships with local organizations within the Houston area. These relationships help him spread the word about his active and off-market listings, as well as allow him to find the perfect off-market properties for buyers.
First impressions are everything in real estate. So Tim works side-by-side with his pre-selected best-in-industry photographers and videographers to ensure that any property he represents is showcased in its best glory. In addition, he is known for reshooting properties as the seasons change to ensure up-to-date marketing and exposure. As a result, his dedication to getting the best imagery and film possible has garnered his listings spotlights in local and national publications – both online and print.
Having spent a substantial portion of his life hunting and showing cattle and horses, Tim is at home helping his clients buy and sell country properties. In the competitive market of rural properties, he has found that sellers love the marketing and exposure that comes from working with the most profiled brokerage firm in the press, Sotheby’s International Realty. Tim says, “In Miami, people buy yachts; in Houston, people buy country properties”. Therefore, having a relationship with the agents within Sotheby’s network, as well as agents within different brokerages around Houston and the country, helps him shop his listings to the very agents whose clients are buying in the country.
Tim is also a proud member of the Houston Safari Club Foundation and sits as the Co-Chair of the HSCF’s young professionals’ group, Stag and Dove Society. An avid outdoorsman, Tim is at home outside, where his free time is spent hunting and fishing throughout Texas and Arkansas. You can often find him at his favorite restaurants or playing tennis and pickleball in Houston. Tim is also a member of several multiple listing services (MLS) throughout Texas, and his accolades include the brand-wide Sotheby’s International Realty Rising Star Award and the prestigious Martha Turner Sotheby’s Circle of Excellence Award.
