The summer of her senior year at the University of Kansas, she and her roommate left on a whim and headed west toward Vail, a wonderland about which they heard so much. Hundreds of miles and two speeding tickets into their journey, the women drove over the Vail Pass and into view came a sight Suzi will never forget: waterfalls, lush green mountainsides, snow-capped mountains, and the rush of Gore Creek. "I was awestruck. I didn't know what to expect, but I surely didn't expect anything so spectacular. At that moment, I knew I'd live in Vail for the rest of my life." In the years since that first trek over the Vail Pass, Suzi has met many with similar stories. It seems all who come here are touched by the spectacular natural beauty and the warm community atmosphere that permeates Vail. Everyone has a story to tell, a vision to share. For Suzi, the real glory lies in the fact that she has a role in helping people capture the spirit of this area.
