He has particular knowledge of the rural Vermont real estate including Woodstock Vermont real estate, Lake Champlain real estate, Middlebury Vermont Real Estate, Southern Vermont Real Estate and Upper Valley Real Estate. Story joined LandVest in 2006.
Story worked as an investment banker for Salomon Brothers in New York City, and then as a co-owner of dia knitwear, a successful women’s apparel company. He is a former member of the United States Equestrian Team and competed in the 1978 World Three-Day Championships.
Story’s real estate asset planning background stems from executing an estate and land plan for his family property in Chadds Ford, PA. By structuring a real estate partnership and working closely with the Brandywine Conservancy, he was able to achieve a significant decrease in estate taxes, a record sale in the region for open land, and an important conservation easement on a ¼ mile section of the Brandywine River near the historic Brandywine Battlefield.
