Pilar Rivera-Collins, known to family and friends as “Pili,” was born and raised in Veracruz, México. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree, with an emphasis in hotel management and tourism. Her love of the ocean and her desire to have what she calls “the opportunity to meet people from different parts of the world” led her to the Mexican Caribbean where she began her career in luxury hotel event planning and guest relations. There, she learned the importance of high-quality service in creating maximum customer satisfaction.
After moving to the United States more than a decade ago, Pilar has continued her journey in sales, importing furniture, and putting her creativity to work in the world of interior design. She is passionate about wellness and enjoys promoting an eco-living lifestyle.
Pilar is a motivated “whiz kid” leader who has honed her business and administrative skills in various capacities for nearly two decades. Her big picture view of things is combined with the ability to cater to detail, whether she is planning and executing water ionizer demonstrations that result in sales or saving a furniture company time and resources through strategically structured special events and cost-efficient promotions. She possesses very good interpersonal skills and thrives in social settings because of her magnetic personality. Pilar has further demonstrated quick response times in pressing matters, and she can adapt to different environments seamlessly.
Pilar has always believed that genuine care and personal service are the keys to reaching the goals of clients and providing them with services that are optimal. She is fluent in Spanish and English and is conversant in German.
In her spare time, Pilar can be found hiking or running. In fact, she has completed three LA marathons. She has done so with the main objective of raising funds for some of her favorite charities like Veronika’s Place. With the help of some friends, via “R4VP” (Race for Veronika’s Place), she has been able to help raise the needed amount for food to be sent to individuals in Dandora, Kenya, living with HIV/AIDS.
Pilar also loves to travel and enjoys photography. Her top priority is spending time with her husband, Michael, who works in the film industry, as well as doing a variety of things with her family and friends.
