It was tennis that first brought Peter Sirois to Kauai. Picking the game up early and climbing the ranks as a young amateur from the tiny sea town of Scituate, MA, Peter played for Pfeiffer College in North Carolina and joined the USTA Pro Tour in 1976. After three competitive years crossing the country on tour, Peter craved a steadier livelihood; he took an assistant tennis pro position on Maui, but on his first trip to Kauai in 1981, he knew he found home. Peter became the Head Tennis Pro for the old Waiohai Hotel on Poipu Beach where he worked for eleven years, during which time the resort achieved a four-star status. It is there that he met his future wife and business partner, Hannah, who at the time was a visiting collegiate tennis player from UC Berkeley playing in a tournament he held annually. In 1992, Hurricane Iniki changed Peter’s trajectory, along with many other island residents, when it slammed into the South Shore of Kauai and decimated the Wa iohai hotel, along with much of the island’s tourist trade. After the storm, he started anew. A year later, Peter had earned his real estate license, joined a brokerage firm, and built by hand, a home in Koloa. In 2005, he upped his credentials and real estate acumen with a broker’s license. Four years later, he opened Kauai Heritage Properties with Hannah, specializing in luxury South Shore Kauai real estate. Over the course of his long real estate career, Peter has earned a Hawaii Business Magazine Top 100 Realtor Award, brokered millions in listings, and earned the long-time trust and friendship of his many clients. Today, his competitive passion has swung from tennis to golf; during his off time, you can catch him on Kauai’s pristine South Shore golf courses, spoiling his prized spaniel, Papi, and cheering on his perennially favorite Patriots, Red Sox and Celtics. Peter and the team at Kauai Heritage Properties, which now proudly includes daughter Cassady, are ready to assist you in the purchase or sale of your Kauai home, condo, land, second-home, or vacation rental investment.
