It wasn’t exactly a dark and stormy night when I decided to move back to Carmel but it was a dark and stormy (and stifling) summer afternoon in my Midtown Manhattan apartment. Turned on the TV and then….just like that, my life changed. “Play Misty for Me”, Clint Eastwood’s classic thriller which took place in Carmel, was on the tube and, watching the beautiful scenes of Carmel Beach and the glorious coastline, it suddenly became clear to me that it was time, after many years of wandering the globe, to go home. Even the fog looked good to me as I sweated in the heat! So, after living (and professionally dancing) in some of the most exciting cities in the world…Paris, London, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Acapulco and NYC, my need to return to this special corner of the world was absolutely undeniable.
Since that day in 1992, my decision to move back to Carmel has proven to be one of the best of my life. With its unique combination of small-town charm, world-class natural beauty and year-round temperate climate, people from all over the world are drawn to Carmel and Pebble Beach making our area a surprisingly sophisticated and exciting place to live. But it is also a very relaxed and nature-driven environment with numerous opportunities to enjoy the beauty around us, creating a fabulous lifestyle. As for me, after 8 years working as part of the Pebble Beach Company’s management team, it has been by becoming a Realtor that I have best been able to share my love of Carmel in a meaningful way.
