Biography


OJ began his career at age 20 in 1983 while working for his father’s company Americana Financial, which specialized in real estate, sales and loans. He spent the following 10 years exceeding in production and management within the mortgage industry. His last position was Vice President of Retail Production with BSC Mortgage, a subsidiary of Sterling Bank before deciding to form his own Real Estate Investment Firm, Nations Credit Industries, Inc. The name was later changed to National Credit Industries, Inc. or, (NCI). After several years successfully operating his private firm, he realized that the Century 21 “brand” would be instrumental in better serving his community. Therefore, in1998 OJ went on to purchase Century 21 Americana in Covina, California that subsequently operated in Pomona, California. Under the Century 21 branding, OJ was able to ensure his agents focused on exceptional customer service by offering powerful tools and training programs in a world-class environment that elevated Agent productivity and delivery of service to its clients with incredible commitment to helping buyers and sellers achieve their real estate goals. In the latter part of 2015, OJ acquired Century 21 Citrus Realty in a successful growth opportunity which was catalyst to the merging of the companies now headquartered in San Dimas, California. Century 21 Citrus was formed in 1972 and still holds title to one of Century 21’s original franchises. With this merger and acquisition the company doubled in size. As broker owner, OJ has valued continued education and holds credentials as Real Estate Broker, Graduate of the Realtors Institute, Certified Residential Broker, Certified Distressed Property Expert, Certified HAFA Speciality, and Certification from the Five State Institute REO and Equator Platinum. OJ has managed the REO pipeline of clients like Bank of America, New Vista Asset Management, NationStar, Old Republic, USRES, ISERVE, and LPS. In addition, OJ runs a Real Estate Licensing Course offered locally to potential Real Estate Agents. A broker’s duties would not be complete without the multi-dimension of managing his own income properties ranging from units to mobile parks and other properties. OJ previously served on the Board of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals, Orange County Chapter and the Citrus Valley Health Partners from the Foundation to the Parent Board of Citrus Valley Health Partners. As a skilled boat connoisseur when he’s not steering the Century 21 Citrus brokerage in the direction of success he can be found Sailing from the Balboa Bay Club in Newport Beach to Catalina Island earning him his alternate title of “CAPTAIN”. He has six beautiful children and resides in San Dimas, California with his wife Elizabeth.
