Some of the most prestigious awards he has earned in his forty years as a REALTOR® include Keller Williams Realty® President’s Award, REALTOR® of the Year for Collin County Association of REALTORS®, REALTOR® of the Year for the Texas Association of REALTORS®, and REALTOR® of the Year for the Texas Association of Builders. He also won the Leadership Award for the Greater Dallas United Way.
Mike believes in making every move matter, both in the literal sense for his clients and in the sense of being intentional about how he approaches his professional life. He sets goals, both long and short-term, and stays focused on those goals and expends energy in the key areas he has identified for himself.
Mike strives to keep a life balance of family, work, and spirituality. He is a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather and takes time to nurture his family relationships. He also has mentors that he looks up to for vision, encouragement and creativity.
In addition to his faith a large part of Mike’s spiritual health is supporting the communities that he feels contribute important work in the world. He was appointed to the Texas Real Estate Commission by Governor Bush and served on that committee for seven years, including serving as the chairperson. He is a director of the National Association of REALTORS, a member of the executive committee of Big Brothers Big Sisters, and serves on the Board of Directors for Baylor University Hankamer School of Business. He served as President of the Plano Chamber of Commerce, as the founding Chairman of the REALTORS Federal Credit Union and Treasurer of the National Association of REALTORS. In 2010 he served as Chairman of the Board of Governors for Gleneagles Country Club. In 2010 he was awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award from Grand View University.
Mike uses his creativity and vision to expand and diversify his business life. He serves as an ambassador for Keller Williams International and oversaw the launch of KW Luxury Homes, an impeccable brand for marketing luxury homes internationally. He was the co-founder of the Keller Williams Preston Road office, Co-owns the Plano office, Co-owns the Northern California/Hawaii regional offices, and Co-owns and serves as managing partner of the Maryland/DC regional offices.
Educating and inspiring others is also a key part of Mike’s life work. He mentors new agents, teaches and speaks nationwide.
