Marques Thomas

Mr. Thomas graduated from Ocean Springs High School in 1989 and completed a Bachelors degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management/ Business and a minor in marketing from the University of Southern Mississippi. While earning a degree Mr. Thomas worked in the casino industry in the food and beverage departments. He has received several awards such as exceptional service, leadership, and top sales consultant for four years in a row. He created a standard training video that is used to train all new hires for Harrah’s Entertainment. He also was on the food and beverage management team that spearheaded the opening of three new casinos with Caesar’s’/Harrah’s Entertainment.

Marques left Harrah’s entertainment to manage a vacation management company in Orange Beach, AL. Where he led the management team that was responsible for 356 rental condominiums, seven homeowners’ associations and a cleaning company that cleaned 300+ units a weekend. After three years in the vacation management, he was offered a position at Northrop Grumman as a Sub-Contract Administrator; his responsibilities included managing a multi- million-dollar contracts and the procurement of such items as the electrical systems, propulsion systems, degaussing systems, cathothic protection systems and most of the gauges used on navy ships. He was responsible for contract negotiations and auditing vendors. His leadership was instrumental in the conversion from traditional government procurement to supply chain management.

In 2004, he left corporate America and became real estate broker where he worked for Remax and started a construction company. He has sold and closed over $70 million dollars in residential and commercial real estate to date. He has built and sold over 200 homes in South MS and the Brandon MS area. He has participated in selling major condominium developments along the Mississippi Gulf Coast and Alabama Coastal markets. Maintains an active role as a real estate investor.

In 2007, he joined the Papillion Properties, LLC as Vice President of Sales and marketing where has led a sales team and closed over 300 homes in Harrison County, MS. He has been instrumental in creating and implementing innovative sales strategies. Marques built and continually maintains ‘ground teams’ in local and national markets consisting of national speakers, out state real estate brokers and marketers, lenders and developers.

After four years with Papillion Properties, LLC. Marques has worked with private investors and their team of professionals’ remains focused on strict investment objectives and high return income producing properties. He is a leader of a complex multifaceted real estate development and operating businesses over a 30+ year career. Latitude Management Services has been successful in acquiring and managing over 400 rental units since refocusing their investment objectives in 2009.

In 2017 he sold his RV Resorts and took the role of Chief Operating Officer and help start United Majestic RV Resort, LLC a division of The United Company. He has assisted United with purchasing 57 acres totaling 12 million dollars, designed a 215 site RV resort on one parcel, currently has the project out for bid, manages the day to day operations of a 96 site RV resort.

He has 30+ years of professional experience in team building, training and organizational management.
