Biography


John Dejesu began his career at advertising firm Ogilvy & Mather International in the account management training program where he learned from David Ogilvy that creativity, brevity and listening to customers’ needs are the most important qualities when guiding and servicing clients.

Currently working out of the Downtown Manhattan office of Sotheby’s International Realty, John handles residential sales of co-ops and condominiums within the most exclusive areas of Manhattan. Prior to joining Sotheby’s, John worked for Brown Harris Stevens in New York City.

John brings a history of high-profile executive experience for companies including The New York Times, where he headed the International Travel advertising department, American Express, Nielsen and Conde Nast, where he served as the Director of International Travel advertising for The New Yorker. He applies the skills he has honed as a Publisher, in business development and media marketing, to his real estate career.

John has successfully closed sales throughout Manhattan and the boroughs and has earned the satisfaction of his clients who buy and sell New York City real estate.
