John Coles is perennially the leading lister and seller of properties in the Virginia Piedmont and 14 times top producer for Greater Piedmont Realtors Association. He has been affiliated with Thomas and Talbot Real Estate in Middleburg for more than 40 years. John knows the Piedmont area intimately, from driving the country roads as a realtor and by traversing the land foxhunting for the past 50 plus years. He is Joint Master of Foxhounds for the Orange County Hunt and an avid horseman. Though his expertise is in horse properties, John is equally adept as matchmaker between clients and homes, large and small. He has both experience and vision when it comes to plans for restoring a property or achieving its potential, and is well-versed on conservation easements and land use in relationship to both selling and buying country properties. The Virginia native has served on local and national boards throughout his career, including the Piedmont Environmental Council, National Sporting Library, Marshall National Bank and the Warrenton Horse Show. He is a member of the Greater Piedmont Realtors, Virginia Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors and BrightMLS.
