John B. Cobb joined Block & Company in 2001 as an investment and development specialist with an emphasis on commercial real estate investment properties and new development projects.
John came to Block & Company with over 30 years of executive level experience in marketing, sales, business development, acquisitions, consulting and general management. He began his career as an account executive in the healthcare field and spent the next 22 years in positions of increasing responsibility within the medical industry with an emphasis in sales and marketing. His last assignment was as Vice President and General Manager of Nichols Institute's regional laboratory in Kansas City, Missouri.
John and his wife, Peggy, then pursued an opportunity to become franchisees of The Body Shop, a retail establishment specializing in high-end bath and beauty products. For six years, they owned and operated four retail Body Shop stores located in major malls throughout the San Diego, California area. During this time, John developed considerable expertise in site selection and lease negotiations with major malls and property management companies.
Immediately prior to joining Block, John served as Chief Executive Officer of a medical management and billing company in Kansas City, Missouri. He recently negotiated the sale of this company to a major healthcare software developer in Indianapolis, Indiana.
