Donald Van de Mark works in Sonoma and Napa Valley where he has set records selling real estate. In the spring of 2014, he had the three most expensive sales in Sonoma Valley. In 2013, Donald performed within the top 2.5 percent of over 14,000 Sotheby’s International Realty agents worldwide. In 2006, he and a colleague sold over $88,000,000 worth of property.
Good representation requires market intelligence, careful listening, communication skills, and hard-nosed negotiation. These are skills Donald honed as a top business and political correspondent for CNBC and CNN. Another skill that Donald brings to real estate sales is video production. Properties come alive on video and do so in particular when a skilled storyteller highlights key attributes. Donald is a keen judge of value, an excellent writer and is among the best presenters.
“Even though I came from the world of TV, I am astonished at how effective video is at selling real estate. No seller should go to market without a beautiful video package that tells the story of their property.”
Donald is very much at home at Sotheby’s International Realty because of his international network of friends and associates. He currently lives in Sonoma Valley and San Francisco, was reared in Toronto, educated in New England, was the first Washington Correspondent for CNBC and anchored for CNN. In addition, he’s the author of The Good Among the Great, 19 Traits of the Most Admirable, Creative and Joyous People.
