Charlotte Hedge, of The Hedge Team, is an award-winning real estate professional and seasoned broker with more than 35 years of full-time experience listing and selling resale homes and new construction. Following a successful career as a REALTOR® in New Jersey, Charlotte joined the Sarasota office of Premier Sotheby’s International Realty upon relocating to Florida in 1991, and along with her husband, Tom Hedge Sr., leads The Hedge Team, one of the area’s top-ranked group of sales associates.
Born in Portland, Maine, Charlotte graduated from Trenton State College (now the College of New Jersey) and taught fifth grade while raising her and Tom’s three sons. She began her real estate career in
1987 and was named Associate of the Year for the state by the New Jersey Association of REALTORS® in 1991. More than 35 years later, Charlotte is still as passionate about her profession as she was then
and continues to mentor new associates.
Charlotte prides herself on delivering “Service you can trust...Performance you can count on.” A licensed broker associate and member of the National Association of REALTORS®, Florida REALTORS® and the REALTOR® Association of Sarasota and Manatee, Charlotte has accrued numerous professional designations. Some of these include Transnational Referral Certification, Certified International Property Specialist, Seniors Real Estate Specialist, Resort and Second-Home Property Specialist, Performance Management Network and the prestigious Graduate, REALTOR® Institute designation.
An active part of the local community, Charlotte serves on the Friends Committee of SPARCC and is involved with the Sarasota Ballet. She and Tom are past presidents of the Board of Directors at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota and DeSoto Counties, where they are still active today. Additionally, the Hedge Team supports many Sarasota organizations, such as the Arts and Cultural Alliance, Marie Selby
Botanical Gardens, Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium, the Ringling Museum, and Bay Park Conservancy.
Charlotte and Tom have a summer home on Long Island, Maine, off the coast of Portland, where their grandchildren are sixth-generation islanders. In addition to traveling and spending her summers on the
island, Charlotte enjoys dancing, cooking, boating, golfing, swimming, and spending time with her family and friends.
