A resident since 1971, Robert was a successful general contractor in Aspen for eight years. He completed his graduate studies at C.U. Boulder in Particle Physics in the mid 1970's. He became a full partner in Coates, Reid & Waldron, the Aspen Sotheby's International Realty Franchise in 1987, which was the number 1 producing Aspen real estate company for 21 consecutive years. Bob was involved with the conception of Sotheby's International Realty as an offshoot of the Sotheby's Auction House. Bob brings Sotheby's his experience, integrity and diligence, specializing in luxury residential, commercial and development properties. Robert has sold nearly a Billion dollars of Aspen real estate, including several of the largest residential sales in the history of Colorado. He has set numerous Aspen "sales records" since 1986, the record sales were 2 million, 4 million, 5.5 million, 16 million and the Mandalay Ranch sale for $46 million. A commonly quoted "source" in print, Ritchie brings knowledge of luxury high-end properties and ranches, and industry perspective. In addition to his sales success, Bob's extensive resume of work ranges from Particle Physics, to a General Contracting, then to multi use development. His diverse range of experience offers buyers and sellers more value, as evidenced by his involvement in the development of 41 custom homes, and several luxury residential and Commercial subdivisions including Victoria Square, The Preserve, Maroon Creek, Pioneer Springs, Droste Ranch, Eagle Pines, Aspen Valley Downs, Chaparral, Aspen Valley Ranch, Ute Center, and Victoria Square, to name a few.
