A seamless blend of architecture and interior design, the strong, clean lines and calming, natural color palette are a nod to the Asian influence which has been a stronghold in Hawaiian design since the 19th Century.  Rich, dark woods are contrasted with elegant fabrics of varying textures and accents of whites, grays, and blues.  Each custom art piece and lighting fixture is distinct and substantial.  Each accessory has a sense of purpose.  The result is an elegant mix of formality, drama, and simplicity.

Main House Entryway

The covered porch of the main house features dramatic floor-to-ceiling mahogany sliding doors and evokes a sense of arrival. A teak bench with hand hewn chipped detail sits to the right, beneath an intricate stone carving.  When opened, the doors reveal a seamless continuation of the grand gathering room, lanai, pool, and ocean views beyond. 

Gathering Room

The main gathering room is grand in size yet inviting in presence and symmetry.  The expansive ceiling is inlayed with grass thatching, detailed with substantial mahogany beams, and anchored by two sizable hand-painted Asian pendants. The central sofa grouping is flanked bytwo inset art niches with dramatic hanging “link” sculptures formed from zebra wood, and two wall recesses with mimicking seating vignettes. Sliding glass doors open to blend the space directly with the adjacent lanai and pool/spa.

Dining Room

The layout of the dining room offers flexibility towards any type of entertaining.  With sliding doors on all four sides, the room can be closed off from the kitchen and great room for formal dining, or opened for direct flow and entertaining.  The third and fourth sides offer view and access of the dining lanai with pool/spa beyond and an elegant sculpture garden.

A light brown and beige wool area rug frames the sleek dark wood dining table.  With a rectangular center base, the table allows ease of access for the eight intricately-designed sunburst dining chairs.

Kitchen

With every feature imaginable to please even the most discerning chef, the kitchen is not only beautiful in its composition but also in its functionality. A large center island anchors the room, with ample space for both preparation and counter-height seating. 

Appliances are all top-of-the-line Thermador: Professional gas range with fourburners, griddle and grill, and stainless blacksplash, stainless steel hood with lighting, fan, and heat lamps, dual convection ovens, dual dishwashers, expresso machine, wine refrigerator with dual climate-control to accommodate over ninety bottles, refrigerator and freezer, and microwave oven.  The main sink is Kohler and features dual tubs and a Blanco faucet.  A prep sink is also offered, similarly with Kohler and Blanco sink and faucet.

The custom-built mahogany cabinets with soft-touch closure lend ample storage, as well as an adjacent walk-in pantry.  An exterior side door offers direct access to the outside grill area, with full view of the pool/spa.

Master Suite

The master suite offers a true retreat to relax and enjoy the carefree Island lifestyle.  Sliding glass pocket doors and windows invite natural light to linger throughout.  The glass doors reveal an expansive private lanai, pool, golf, and ocean views – all perfectly positioned to gain the first view upon awakening in the morning.  A peaceful reflecting pond amidst a lush private garden is visible alongthe entire length of the room, continuing the Balinese trend. 

The master bath features an elegant wood vanity with his and her sinks, walk-in spa shower with rain shower head and body jets, dramatic free-standing soaking tub, and outdoor shower.

Guest Bungalows

Accessible from the center courtyard, the four bungalow suites offer privacy and independence to guests, each with its own bedroom, full bathroom, andoutdoor seating area. 

Media Bungalow

Fully-equipped with a complete audio-visual setup, the media bungalow offers plush seating in keeping with the refined design of the residence.  An adjacent bar area is perfect for entertaining.
